RSTA Data Protection and Privacy Policy (2018)

RSTA is obliged to collect and process the personal information of members in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which came into effect in May 2018.  The RSTA Data Protection and Privacy Policy sets out how we collect, use and safeguard members' data. RSTA member wins Corn Uí Riada.  Congratulations to Máire Uí Chéilleacher on winning the premier sean-nós singing competition, Corn Uí Riada, at the recent Oireachtas na Gaeilge in Killarney.  Máire is a member of the Cork branch and Tomás MacCarthaigh writes:

Earlier in the year Máire received TG4 Singer of the Year award in Belfast.

Those of you who attended the Gala Dinner at this year's National Conference in Cork will remember being enchanted when Máire graciously sang for us. Sár-oíche.

RSTA Midland branch recently enjoyed a tour of the beautifully restored Longford Cathedral guided by Midland member and RSTA President Padraic O'Doherty.  Padraic has generously offered to guide a tour for any other branch or members who would like to visit.

IMPROVEMENTS TO POST-2012 STATEPENSIONS.  The Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection has announced improvements to the state pension calculations for post 2012 pensioners.  Higher rates will commence from 30 March 2018.  The Department's statement is available here: Press_release.pdf
