Midland Branch visit Indochina

RSTA Midland branch recently enjoyed a tour of the beautifully restored Longford Cathedral guided by Midland member and RSTA President Padraic O'Doherty.  Padraic has generously offered to guide a tour for any other branch or members who would like to visit.

Mayo branch invites RSTA colleagues to join their proposed 6 day/5 night trip to Madrid, Monday 8th to Saturday 13th October.  Cost €750 per person sharing.  Day trips include:

  • Valle de Los Caidos
  • Toledo

Post-2012 State Pension Changes

IMPROVEMENTS TO POST-2012 STATEPENSIONS.  The Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection has announced improvements to the state pension calculations for post 2012 pensioners.  Higher rates will commence from 30 March 2018.  The Department's statement is available here: Press_release.pdf

Mayo RSTA WW1 Tour September 2017

RSTA Mayo members and colleagues from other branches enjoyed a memorable 5-day trip to the WW1 battlefields of Belgium and France with particular emphasis on remembering and honouring the Irishmen who fought and died in the Great War. The report of the trip at the link below is written by Antoinette Casey of Mayo Branch who did a wonderful job organising the trip.
