"Ce Mise", a recently published novel by RSTA member Sean Mac SheƔin-Mac Eochaidh, tells the story of Trevor Acton, a sergeant in Arm Shasana who was present in Kilmainham Gaol in Easter week 1916. Published by Coisceim the book is available in Book Centres in Waterford, Kilkenny, Wexford, Belfast and Dingle.

RSTA Midland branch recently enjoyed a tour of the beautifully restored Longford Cathedral guided by Midland member and RSTA President Padraic O'Doherty. Padraic has generously offered to guide a tour for any other branch or members who would like to visit.

IMPROVEMENTS TO POST-2012 STATEPENSIONS. The Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection has announced improvements to the state pension calculations for post 2012 pensioners. Higher rates will commence from 30 March 2018. The Department's statement is available here: Press_release.pdf
